Classic Road Package — 10–12 Days (Recommended for First-Time Pilgrims)

Day 1 — Fly Bangalore to Delhi/Dehradun → Rishikesh/Haridwar

Early morning flight from Bangalore to Delhi or Dehradun. Arrival and road transfer to Rishikesh/Haridwar. Rest, local darshan and early night to acclimatise. Overnight stay in a comfortable hotel with hot water facilities.

Day 2 — Haridwar/Rishikesh to Barkot (Gateway for Yamunotri)

Drive through scenic plains and foothills to Barkot. En route stop for meals and short walks. Check into Barkot hotel; brief orientation and evening rest. Prepare warm clothing for the Yamunotri day.

Day 3 — Yamunotri Darshan and Return to Barkot

Drive to Janki Chatti or take a pony/walk towards Yamunotri temple. Participate in darshan and, if permitted, take a sacred dip at designated hot springs. Return to Barkot in the evening and rest.

Day 4 — Barkot → Uttarkashi (Gateway for Gangotri)

Early morning drive to Uttarkashi. Short local sightseeing and rest at the riverside town. Uttarkashi is a crucial acclimatisation stop with basic medical facilities and easy walking circuits to help the body adapt to higher altitudes.

Day 5 — Gangotri Darshan → Return to Uttarkashi

Drive to Gangotri for darshan on the banks of the Bhagirathi (upper Ganga). Spend time at the shrine, photograph the glaciers in clear weather, and return to Uttarkashi for an overnight stay.

Day 6 — Uttarkashi → Guptkashi / Joshimath (Depending on Route)

Long scenic drive across valleys towards the Kedarnath/Badrinath approach. Overnight in Guptkashi (Kedarnath side) or Joshimath (Badrinath approach) depending on the chosen route and road conditions.

Day 7 — Guptkashi → Gaurikund → Trek/Heli to Kedarnath

Drive to Gaurikund; either begin the 16 km trek to Kedarnath or board the helicopter (if booked and weather permits). Overnight near Kedarnath temple in pilgrim accommodation.

Day 8 — Kedarnath Darshan → Trek Back → Rudraprayag

Early morning darshan at Kedarnath. After prayers and photography, descend to Gaurikund and drive towards Rudraprayag. Overnight at a comfortable rest stop.

Day 9 — Rudraprayag → Joshimath → Badrinath Approach

Continue drive towards Badrinath through picturesque mountain roads. Stay overnight at Joshimath or Govindghat depending on the local timetable and route plan.

Day 10 — Badrinath Darshan → Begin Return

Reach Badrinath early for darshan and rituals. After a peaceful morning, begin the return journey toward Rishikesh/Haridwar and onward connections to Delhi/Bangalore.

Day 11–12 — Buffer Days & Return Flights

Buffer days allow for flight/train connections, weather delays or extra sightseeing in Rishikesh. Final day board flight from Dehradun/Delhi to Bangalore.

Express Helicopter Package — 3–6 Days (For Time-Constrained or Mobility-Limited Pilgrims)

This option uses helicopter segments primarily to reach Kedarnath and/or Badrinath, significantly reducing road hours and eliminating the need for extended treks. Helicopter slots are season- and weather-dependent and must be booked in advance.

Day 1: Fly Bangalore → Dehradun → Road transfer to Phata/Guptkashi. Day 2: Helicopter to Kedarnath → Darshan → Heli back to Phata/Dehradun → Night at Dehradun/Haridwar. Day 3: Return flight to Bangalore (or combine Badrinath heli on same itinerary subject to slots).

Sample 5–6 Day Express

Incorporates Kedarnath heli + Badrinath heli with quick road transfers to connect both shrines. Ideal for groups with limited leave period or seniors who cannot trek long distances.

Fly to Dehradun, road to Rishikesh/Haridwar, road to Yamunotri/Gangotri segments, and heli for Kedarnath. This balanced option is the most popular as it reduces trekking while keeping costs lower than full heli packages.
